1. THE ORGANIZER
The Contest is held by Essilor, hereinafter called the Contest Organizer
The Contest takes place during the following period: from February 15th to December 15th, 2017.

The Contest is open to all residents of Canada aged 18 and older.
Excluded are: employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizer, its parent company, any company, trust or other legal entity controlled by or related to it and members of the immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother, legal or de facto spouses regardless of their place of residence) of the abovementioned persons or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether they are a relation or not).
3. PARTICIPATION / NO PURCHASE REQUIRED
No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase chances of winning.
The Contest takes place for all residents of Canada aged 18 and over, hereinafter called the Participants. Go to the Essilor brands websites Crizal.ca, Varilux.ca, Eyezen.ca and Xperio.ca, go to the newsletter subscription page, and follow the instructions to enter the Contest.
Fill out the required fields of the newsletter subscription form including your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number (to contact the winner only) and any other requested information.
All of the registration form data entry fields are required, unless it is indicated that the information is optional.
Declare that you have read and agreed to the terms of the rules and regulations by checking the corresponding box.

Limit. Participants must respect the following limits or risk being disqualified: One (1) entry per e-mail address per draw when a participant has more than one. A single participant is eligible for all draws during the year if the subscriber status is active on the date of the draw.
The prizes available to be won and their approximate retail value are as follows:
- Four pairs of glasses, lenses and frames for a total value up to $ 1000 (one (1) name per invoice, one (1) pair of glasses will be awarded to each of the 4 winners).
- If the total value of the glasses chosen by the winner is less than $ 1000, the difference will not be refunded to the winner.
- If the total value of the glasses chosen by the winner is greater than $ 1000, the difference must be paid by the winner.
There will be four (4) draws throughout the duration of the contest
Date of first draw: Friday March 24, 2017.

Date of the 3rd edition: Friday September 22, 2017.

The draw will be held at the offices of the Agency of the Organizer, at 7070 Beaubien Street East, Montreal (Quebec) H1M 1B2.
6. PRIZE CLAIM
In order to be declared a winner, each selected entrant must:
- be reached by phone or email, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer within ten (10) days following the draw. Any selected participant that could not be reached after reasonable and appropriate steps taken by the Contest Organizer during this period will be disqualified and a new draw will be held to award the prize. In the event that a selected entrant is reached by e-mail, they must reply in accordance with the instructions provided therein, if any. All email prize notification followed by a notice stating that the message could not be delivered will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate entrant;
- Answer a mathematical question and sign the Declaration Form and waiver of liability form (hereinafter the ‘Declaration Form’) that will be sent to him or her by the contest organizers. The Declaration Form must be duly completed and returned to the contest organizers within ten (10) days following its receipt by the entrant selected.
- within two (2) to four (4) weeks of receipt of the duly completed Declaration Form, the Contest Organizer will deliver the prize to the winner.
Failure to meet any of the conditions mentioned in these rules or to accept the prize, the selected entrant will be disqualified. In such cases, the Contest Organizer may, at its discretion, cancel the prize or hold a new draw among the remaining eligible entries until an entrant is selected and declared winner. If no participant is declared a winner within sixty (60) days following the original draw, the prize will be forfeited.
REFUSING TO ACCEPT A PRIZE
The refusal of a selected entrant to accept a prize according to the terms herein releases the Contest Organizer from all obligations related to this prize toward that person.
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES
No prizes will be awarded unless the winner has been confirmed. No prize is transferable. It must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizer. The Contest Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of the same nature and equivalent value or, at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize (or portion thereof) as indicated herein.
FEES FOR PRIZE CLAIM
Any costs or expenses incurred by the winners in relation to the claim or use of a prize are the responsibility of winners.
In all cases, the Contest Organizer cannot be held responsible to award more prizes or to award prizes other than those in accordance with these rules and regulations.
7. GENERAL CONDITIONS
All documents related to the Contest, including and without limitation to the entry form can be verified by the Contest Organizer. Entries with errors will not be eligible as well as those that are incomplete or have been tampered with, altered, forged, reproduced or obtained illegally. Participants who do not comply with the present rules and regulations may be excluded from this Contest and any other contests or promotions that the Contest Organizer may hold in the future, including and without limitation to any participant guilty or suspected of having tampering with the hardware on which the Contest is carried out, the operation of the Contest or any technical or mechanical element of the Contest, of deliberately damaging the websites, web pages and applications relating to this Contest or sabotaging the legitimate operation of the Contest, having deliberately violated these regulations, for example, of using a means contrary to these rules or that are unfair to the other participants (eg. entries exceeding the allowable limit) or to having acted in an unfair manner or harmful manner or with intent to annoy, torment, threaten or harass another person. ANY ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON WHO TRIES TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE, EQUIPMENT, APPLICATION OR TECHNOLOGY EMPLOYED FOR THIS CONTEST OR ATTEMPTS TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS COMMITTING A CRIMINAL AND CIVIL OFFENCE. THE CONTEST ORGANIZER RESERVES, IN SUCH CASES, THE RIGHT TO REPORT SUCH A PERSON TO THE JUDICIAL AUTHORITIES AND TO REQUIRES OF THAT PERSON ALL DAMAGES THAT THE LAW ALLOWS THEM TO SEEK.
DECLARATION FORM AND DISCLAIMER
By participating or attempting to participate in this Contest, any entrant selected for a prize releases all responsibility of the Contest Organizer, its parent company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to them, all participating stores, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, Facebook if the contest is taking place on Facebook, any advertising and promotion agencies, as well as any suppliers of prizes, goods and services in connection with the contest. This includes all their directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives and successors (collectively referred to as the "Releasees") from any damage and from any liability relating to the contest (participation, operation, advertisement, rules and regulations, etc.) or relating to prize (claim, use, etc.). To be declared a winner, selected entrants will be required to sign the declaration form and liability release containing a statement of compliance with the Contest Rules and confirming this disclaimer in favour of the exemption of the Releasees.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Without limiting the generality of the above exemption, the Releasees discharge themselves of all liability for (i) any typographical error (or other) contained in the offer document or documents related to the administration of the Contest including, and without limitation to errors in advertising, the official rules, the announcement of the winner, the prize or any malfunction, or problems experienced due to technical difficulties with networks, telephone lines, SMS messaging systems, computer components, software or communication lines, relating to the loss or absence of network communication or any faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased by any computer, servers or service provider, or software, viruses, bugs, system failure of personal computers or configuration of software and hardware, or failed attempt to transmit any email or other communication to the Contest Organizer or to a participant for any reason, including any network congestion or failure of any site that may limit the ability of any person to enter the contest;
(ii) any late, lost, stolen, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete or inaccurate entry forms; (Iii) any failure to receive entries due to transmission problems or technical failures of any kind, including, and without limitation, to the malfunctioning of any network, servers, access providers, hardware or software, whether caused by the sender or recipient that could limit or prevent a person's ability to participate in the contest; (Iv) any damage that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, in particular to the system or participant device or another person, by the downloading of any Internet page or software or by the transmission of any information concerning the contest.
OPERATION OF THE WEBSITE
The Contest Organizer does not guarantee in any way that the contest websites will be accessible or functional without interruption during the Contest Period or that it will be free from error.
CANCELLATION, SUSPENSION OR MODIFICATION OF THE CONTEST
The Contest Organizer reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend, in whole or in part, this Contest in the eventuality that an event could occur that disrupts the smooth proceedings of the Contest, such a difficulty of the computer system to register all entries or any human intervention that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest as provided in these rules and regulations, and that, subject to approval by the Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux, if required.
END OF THE CONTEST
In the event the Contest must be terminated in whole or in part before the end of the Contest Period, the random draw will be made at the discretion of the Contest Organizer, from all eligible entries duly registered during the contest period or, if applicable, up to the date of the event ending the contest.
By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by the Contest Organizer and / or its authorized agents for the purpose of administering the Contest and award prizes. By accepting a prize, any winner authorizes the Contest Organizer and its representatives to use, if required, their name, address (city and province), voice, statements, photo, likeness and other performances and recordings for advertising purposes, and, in all media, including but not limited to the Internet, and without further notice and without any compensation. Any participant may be required to sign a confirmation to this effect.
All information and documents related to the Contest, including but not limited to the entry form, reporting forms and liability release, information technology - technological or operational and information relating to drawings, computer systems, software, logos, trade marks and intellectual property, are and remain the exclusive property of the Contest Organizer. None of the information and documents will be returned to participants.
IDENTIFICATION OF PARTICIPANT
For the purposes of these rules, the entrant is the person whose name appears on the entry form and it is to this person that the prize will be awarded if selected and declared the winner. If any dispute relating to the identification of the author of an entry form arises, it will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder associated with the email address provided at time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the physical person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider or online service, or other enterprise assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
DECISION OF THE CONTEST ORGANIZER
Any decision by the Contest Organizer or its representatives regarding this Contest is final and without appeal, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, in connection with any matter within its jurisdiction.
DISPUTE / QUEBEC RESIDENTS
Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
RÉGIE DES ALCOOLS, DES COURSES ET DES JEUX
The Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec is not linked in any way with the Contest and shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever regarding any matter relating to the Contest.
By entering the Contest, participants agree to be bound to these Contest rules and the decisions of the Contest Organizer, which are final and binding in all respects, including and without limitation, to decisions regarding the eligibility or disqualification of entries and the award of a prize. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Only selected participants will be contacted. If any section of these rules and regulations is declared illegal or unenforceable by a competent court, that section shall be considered invalid, but all other paragraphs remain applicable.
